Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That should round things out when it arrives.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into how you think about it.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
